La Junta Camping & Cabins is a family-friendly campground situated right off U.S. Highway on the western edge of La Junta, Colorado. We offer full-hookup RV sites, cozy cabin rentals, and unique glamping stays inside our fleet of restored cool historic railcars. Whether you’re an overnight traveler chasing that perfect Colorado sunset or someone who needs a reliable home base for weeks at a time, there’s a place for you here.
Straddling the old Santa Fe Trail, we’re just minutes from Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site — a reconstructed frontier trading post where costumed interpreters bring Colorado history to life. A half-hour south, the canyon country of Picketwire and Vogel Canyons offers hiking, mountain biking, bird watching and a look at North America’s largest known dinosaur trackway in the world!
Want day-to-day convenience? Walmart, Village Inn, local restaurants, and essential services are all within easy walking distance. Coming in on U.S. Highway from Pueblo, Lamar, Limon or Trinidad? We’re right on the route — easy to reach from every direction, and even easier to settle into once you arrive.

RV Sites
Within our campground, you’ll find a seasonal swimming pool with a 9-foot waterslide, mini golf, a fenced dog park, a children’s playground, and a recreation room. On-site laundry machines, firewood, and propane are also available so you won’t need to leave the park for the essentials.
If you’re looking to explore while you’re here, Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site is just minutes away. Head south 30 minutes and you’ll reach Picketwire and Vogel Canyons, where trails lead past pictographs and the continent’s largest mapped dinosaur trackway. The Koshare Indian Museum is right in La Junta — a world-class collection that surprises every visitor.
